1. Get Into God's Word
The Bible is a big book, divided into two main parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament. For new believers, we generally recommend starting with the New Testament. It tells the story of Jesus' life, his teachings, his death and resurrection, and the beginnings of the Christian church. Good books to start with are:
The Gospel of John: This book focuses on who Jesus is and why He came.
The Gospel of Mark: This is a fast-paced account of Jesus' life and ministry.
The Book of Romans: This book explains the core teachings of Christianity in a clear way.
A great way to access the Bible easily is through a YouVersion Bible app on your phone or tablet. The YouVersion Bible App is a fantastic, free tool that makes reading the Bible easy and accessible, wherever you are. Try reading a little each day and reflecting on what you learn. It offers many translations, reading plans, and helpful resources.

2. Talk to God Through Prayer
The Bible is God's love letter to you. It's how He speaks to us, guides us, and encourages us. We recommend starting with the New Testament, perhaps the book of John, to learn more about the life of Jesus.
Pray Daily: Talk to God through prayer, sharing your thoughts and seeking His guidance.
"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
3. Keep Learning and Growing
Your journey of faith is a lifelong one. Be patient with yourself, and continue to seek God through His Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. There are many resources available to help you grow, such as Bible studies, Christian books, and online teachings. Most importantly, read your Bible!

4. Find Community
God designed us to live in community with other believers. Finding a good, Bible-believing local church is one of the most important steps you can take. It's where you'll find encouragement, teaching, and friendships that will help you grow.
"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another..." - Hebrews 10:25
